Spotlight Coastline Initiative
Objective: To identify and solve a social cause through an online platform. I was interested in exploring cleaning beaches and shores around Long Island, as I wanted to encourage togetherness with excitement and enjoyment while keeping the solution local to where I reside. My vision was to come up with an initiative that enables the public to clean the beaches with an agenda to make those places better places to visit and spend time.
The project needed to appeal to both realms: print and digital media. For print, it was brochures that would keep the community notified of upcoming events. And for social media, there would be active posts encouraging people to be a part of something bigger than themselves and something to be proud of to show their future generations. The website would be a central hub for all the media and news for the public to gather necessary information about the initiative and visit the events.
